  • The Black Farmer Fund (BFF) Community Garden Fund is now accepting applications. This fund will support Black-led community gardens community gardens in the Northeast U.S. and up to 20 community gardens will be eligible for an award of $500 to go towards their general operating support and capacity building costs. This is a one time pool of funds being facilitated by Black Farmer Fund. The application will close once funds are depleted. Learn more about eligibility requirements and apply here.

  • TransTech Social Enterprises has partnered with The Linux Foundation to offer up to 50 full scholarships quarterly to members of the TransTech community, with priority given to BIPOC trans women either currently or formerly engaged in sex work, for any of their eLearning courses + registration for any of their certification exams, valued at $599. Linux Foundation Training & Certification offers dozens of training courses and certification exams around open source technologies that serve as the infrastructure for the modern world.   • TransTech is a referring LGBTQ+ partner with the PowerOn Individual Tech Grant, a grant providing life-saving and life-changing technology (cell phones, tablets, and laptops) to LGBTQ+ individuals for personal use. This grant operates on a monthly rolling basis. Applications are accepted at all times but will be reviewed monthly in the order they were received. Any qualifying applications not awarded a grant will be carried over to the next month’s pool. The deadline to apply this month is December 12, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Okra Project launched the Rental Assistance Fund to support Black trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming residents based in New York/New Jersey for the winter. The fund will provide $1000 per individual. The deadline to apply is December 6, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Black Trans Wellness Fund recently reopened to support Black trans people residing in Philadelphia. The fund committee will select 10 grantees each month to receive $250.00 by check or Cash App. This is a rolling application that will be opened at the beginning of the month for a week. This month’s deadline to apply is December 8, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Literary Cleveland is accepting applications for Spring 2024 Amplify Fellowships, a paid four-month program that provides two local writers in Northeast Ohio with $8,000 compensation, resources, mentorship, and support to each create a literary project for their community. The fellowship is hybrid with most of the work taking place remotely as well as routine in-person meetings with staff approximately once a week. The deadline to apply is December 11, 2023.   • The National Women’s Health Network invites organizations to apply for Cohort 2 of The Health Equity & Access Leadership Training Hub (HEALTH) program, a six-month curriculum designed to empower community reproductive justice organizations. Cohort organizations will receive professional development, mentorship, and a $15,000 unrestricted grant for their participation in the program. The deadline to apply is December 5, 2023.   • Just Media Project’s 2023-2024 Uprising Fellowship, a paid, 6-month cohort program open to emerging writers based in the U.S., ages 18-25, with a relationship to communities impacted by prison and policing issues, is accepting applications. Fellows will receive a $1,000 stipend, comprehensive journalism training, mentorship, community building opportunities, and support publishing their writing with partner outlets. The fellowship is open to emerging writers based in the U.S., ages 18-25, with a relationship to communities impacted by prison and policing issues.   • Just Media Project’s 2023 Philadelphia Movement Media Fellowship, a paid, 6-month cohort program open to emerging writers based in the U.S., ages 18-25, with a relationship to communities impacted by prison and policing issues, is accepting applications. Fellows will receive a $1,000 stipend, comprehensive journalism training, mentorship, community-building opportunities, and support publishing their writing with partner outlets. Young writers of color and those with firsthand experience with the criminal legal system are strongly encouraged to apply.   • CatchLight Global Fellowship is for visual storytellers igniting social change through photography, videography or leadership by leveraging the power of visuals to create impactful audience engagement and innovative distribution models. Fellows will receive $30,000 in financial support with paid travel and accommodations to their 2024 summit in San Francisco. The deadline to apply is December 9, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Proposals are open for the Do Something: Identity(ies) 2024 2nd annual International Virtual Conference (DSI), a conference where every presenter is a trans, non binary and/or another non cis identity. The conference will take place on Friday, May 31st 2024. They are seeking 1 hour presentations/workshops, engagements/etc. and the compensation is $200. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2023.   • The Transgender Film Center Trailblazer Grant provides funding for short films written, directed, or produced by transgender creators. Two $10K grants will be distributed this grant cycle. The deadline to apply is December 18, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Kim Wall Memorial Fund will provide $5,000 grants to journalists whose work embodies the spirit of Kim’s reporting. The grant will fund women or non-binary reporters covering subculture, broadly defined, and what Kim liked to call “the undercurrents of rebellion.” The deadline to apply is December 17, 2023.   • Changemakers for Democracy is a 12-month fellowship supporting up to 15 Europe-based practitioners and representatives of innovations, movements and collectives working on democratic renewal and new economic paradigms. Fellows receive support to build capacity for their work, including 2,500 EURO per fellow, an in-person 2024 summit in Berlin, small seed grants to support cross-border, co-creation, co-learning initiatives, and more.   • The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) and Caring Across Generations recently launched The Storytelling With Care grant program, a grant program seeking stories that showcase the experiences of caregivers (both professional and family) and care recipients in the context of a home or community setting. The grant will award one recipient with 50k toward developing their short film, as well as mentorship from executives at Participant, film festival support from NDWA & Caring Across, and a 1 year membership to Hollywood Radio & Television Society.   • The 2024 Craft Archive Fellowship will foster archival research on underrepresented and non-dominant craft histories in the United States. The fellowship will award up to (6) $5,000 grants. The deadline to apply is December 6, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Digital Apothecary at Northwestern University, directed by Dr. Moya Bailey, is seeking two Community Fellows to work on a collaborative project, Labs for Liberation. Qualified candidates are activists, artists, designers, cultural workers, access workers, and community scholars who do not necessarily have a formal academic affiliation. They are specifically looking for candidates whose work addresses disability justice, design justice, Black liberation and racial justice, gender and sexuality liberation, or related areas, or who aspire to add these frameworks to their existing work.   • Kentucky Health Justice Network’s Trans Health Advocacy Program is accepting applications to support Trans Kentuckians seeking gender affirming surgeries. The grant is for $2,500. Applications are open until December 1, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Fund for Investigative Journalism provides emergency grants of up to $10,000 for stories on threats to democracy in the US. The fund reviews proposals on a rolling basis and ends on December 31st, 2023. Learn more and submit a proposal here.

  • Food Well Alliance’s Community Garden Grants are now open. These grants helps community gardens address infrastructure, supply, and material needs to keep their gardens thriving and have two funding categories: 1) Garden Improvement Grant will fund 60 community gardens with a $1,500 grant and 2) Garden Forward Grant, a larger grant aimed at helping established, active community gardens move forward with a larger project that will help their garden thrive, will fund two community gardens with a $10,000 grant.   • Speaker proposals for the 19th Annual Chicago Food Justice Summit, to be held virtually on March 6-8, 2024, are open. The Summit will empower attendees to share meaningful knowledge, build strong relationships, and join in conversations to envision our food future together. Speakers will be provided a $50 stipend for their presentations. The deadline to apply is November 15 (open to extensions). Learn more and apply here.

  • The 2024 GALLIM Moving Artist Residencies are now open. 1) The Moving Artist Residency supports seven early career Black, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Latina/e, and people of global majority who are women, non-binary, or transgender movement artists in NYC. This process-based residency offers fully-funded studio space, a $2000 artist stipend, mentorship, and promotion via GALLIM's channels. 2) The *Parent* Moving Artist Residency supports three movement artists who are parents. This process-based residency provides fully-funded studio space, a $1000 artist stipend, optional mentorship, a $800 childcare stipend, and promotion via GALLIM's channels.   • Abolitionist Teaching Network (ATN) is seeking applications from educators, early care educators, educators working in disability justice, single mom educators, and/or queer, trans, & nonbinary educators to fund abolitionist education and work. Grant amounts for 2023 will be between $1,500-$3,000 per recipient. Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm EST on November 26, 2023. Learn more here and apply here.

  • Circle for Justice Innovation’s Until She’s Free Funding Circle is requesting proposals from eligible grassroots organizations led by women, girls, and gender-expansive folx working to end the criminalization and incarceration of women and girls, including trans women and girls, and gender-expansive people. The deadline to apply was recently extended to November 17, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Public Art for All Census, led by multidisciplinary cultural equity, research & design studio Rokh, are looking for public art scouts to conduct a street-by-street census in Albuquerque, NM to document the vast public art found in the city. Scouts will be paid $13/hr plus a $70/month data stipend.   • The Massachusetts Bail Fund (MBF), an abolitionist and non-judgmental bail fund, recently opened applications for bail referrals. Referrals are generally accepted from court-appointed counsel. MBF will cover any bail commissioner fee assessed (usually $40) and post up to $1000 per person. Referrals will remain open until November 15, 2023. Learn more here and apply here.

  • The Green Screen Catalyst Fund catalyzes ideas of individuals, organizations, and networks on the specific issues around climate justice and digital rights. The goal of the Fund is to bring a diversity of voices into the local and global debates and enact change in terms of policy, research, and community building. The grant period will be no longer than one year and with a total grant amount between $10k and $40k with three tiers. The deadline to apply is November 15, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Black Futures Lab (c3) and the Black to the Future Action Fund (c4) announced their Black Organizing Innovations Project, focused on educating, activating, and motivating Black male voters. This project is offering grants up to $250,000 for Black voter organizing innovations. Proposals must engage a minimum of 2500 Black voters. Programs must be run, managed, and evaluated by Black led, Black focused organizations that have a track record of engagement and activation of Black community members.   • Code for Science & Society (CS&S) is accepting applications for their Pushing the Boundaries of Research Software Engineering cohort, support Black Research Software Engineers (RSEs) looking to bring change to the spaces and places where they are. They’re also open to receiving work from artists and other non-traditional practitioners in this space. CS&S will provide a participation stipend of $5,000 USD to the individual applicant and $5,000 USD to the community of practice in which they are embedded. Selected participants will take part in a 6-month program that includes required monthly synchronous meetings that will offer visioning activities, peer mentorship and networking opportunities.   • The Diverse International Women of Color (DIWC) Spring 2024 Study Abroad Scholarship is intended to assist women of color who are exceptional in their studies and in need of financial assistance to study abroad. DIWC will award (5) $500 scholarships to women of color who have been accepted to a In-Person Spring 2024 Study Abroad Program. The deadline to apply is November 20, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The California Documentary Project (CDP) invites applications for their 2023 round of CDP grants in support of film, audio, or digital media projects that document California subjects and issues; use the humanities to provide context, depth, and perspective; and have the potential to reach and engage audiences statewide and nationally. There are 2 categories of funding: 1) Research and Development Grants up to $15,000 and 2) Production Grants up to $50,000. California residency is not required to apply.   • Artist Trust Fellowship Awards are merit-based awards of $10,000 to practicing professional artists of exceptional talent and ability residing in Washington State. These unrestricted awards are open to artists of all disciplines and are given annually to 8+ artists of in recognition of artistic excellence and dedication to their practice.   • The Black List is now accepting applications for the 2024 NRDC Climate Storytelling Fellowship. The Fellowship will grant $20,000 each to three writers to support revision of a feature screenplay or pilot that engages with climate change in a compelling way through events, actions, character, emotions, plot, and/or setting.   • The Green Web Foundation is seeking their next cohort of fellows: five practitioners in digital rights and climate justice who want to build bridges across these movements. This is a paid, part-time, online fellowship of six months. Fellows will receive a €6,000 stipend to compensate their time. Successful fellows will be supported in a peer-learning program and deliver a community-based project that contributes to digital rights and climate justice.   • The Community Wealth Building Grant is open to community-based projects based in Seattle (or conduct the majority of their work in/with Seattle communities). These one-year grants of $50,000 will fund organizing that aims to address economic injustice, build power to transform unjust systems, and overcome barriers to wealth for individuals, families, and communities.   • The Open Notebook is accepting applications for their 2024 Early-Career Fellowship Program, a remote, part-time 10 month fellowship program for early-career science journalists. Fellows will receive a $6,000 stipend. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Eyebeam’s 2024 Democracy Machine fellowship program is about to enter its third and final phase. Selected artists participating in this six-month program will receive a $20,000 stipend and work in fellowship to support the development and implementation of their projects. Eyebeam will select five non-New York-based artists from anywhere in the world and five NYC-based artists for this fellowship. The fellowship will run from February 15, 2024, through August 15, 2024.   • Monument Lab Re:Generation supports teams of two or more individuals working together to create a new or expand an existing public-facing project. Each selected Re:Generation team will receive a total of $100,000 in unrestricted funding towards their commemorative campaign or project. The deadline to submit a proposal is October 2, 2023.   • The Creative Equations Fund is a hyper-local fund supporting Brooklyn-based community-engaged artists, arts-organizations, cultural entrepreneurs, and researchers  who dedicate their creativity to solving social problems. Grant awards are $10,000 each. The deadline to apply is October 8, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Prism is offering journalism training and community media best practices to a cohort of 20 organizers interested in community news entrepreneurship. This three-week program is free and ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to use storytelling to better serve their communities and activate their audience around solutions. The deadline to apply is October 13, 2023.   • The Dots Between opened applications for their 2024 fellowship, a financial coaching program administered virtually for six-months and offered at no cost for artists of any medium, career stage and location. The 2024 cohort will be a group of 10 with at least six spots for SW based artists in NM, AZ, TX,  and CO. This session will come with an honorarium for participation.   • The Neal Pierce Foundation Travel Grant is awarding up to seven travel grants for full-time freelancers as well as journalists currently employed by a news organization. Travel grants of up to $1,500 will enable journalists to travel to cities within the U.S. to produce one or more stories for publication. The deadline to apply is October 16, 2023.   • The Rising Voices Fellowship is an initiative aiming to discover, invest in, and share stories created by BIPOC filmmakers & storytellers around the power and meaning of work. This program awards 10 filmmakers up to a $100K production budget to make a short film, which will premiere at a major US film festival. The deadline to apply is October 22, 2023.   • DAY RATE is a $300 monthly artist grant for Black and Native American femme, queer, trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming filmmakers and creative storytellers. A new grant recipient is drawn on the 1st of each month. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Queer Development Research Lab has a national Queer Joy survey for LGBTQIA+ people (ages 16+) to share their experiences with joy. 1 in every 5 participants will receive a $40 gift card. Survey responses will be accepted until February 2024. Learn more and take the survey here.

  • The FREE STEM Fund offers up to 50,000 EUR in funding for initiatives and projects in the Global South from registered and unregistered initiatives, groups, collectives, and organisations focused on the rights of girls, women, transgender and non-binary people and STEM.   • The Just Tech Fellowship is a two-year, full-time, remote fellowship supporting a diverse community of researchers and practitioners investigating the intersection of technology and social justice. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity is a funded fellowship (including covering visa costs) for mid-career changemakers from around the world. This fellowship has a Residential and Non-residential track. Applications for the 2024-25 programme will close at 5pm UK time on 11 January 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • NPR recently relaunched their College Podcast Challenge, inviting college students of all ages pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree, as well recent 2023 graduates, to submit a podcast on any topic they wish to explore. NPR will award the winner a $5,000 scholarship and an opportunity to have their work featured on NPR, with $500 prizes for their 10 finalists. Entries should be submitted by January 5, 2023.   • Soul Fire Farm launched a Travel Fund to help BIPOC farmers and land stewards defray costs of attending solidarity events. Learn more and apply here.

  • Black & Beyond the Binary Collective (B3C) is accepting applications for their Housing Safety Fund. The fund is intended to support significantly marginalized Portland residents currently struggling with housing security and/or safety with limited financial assistance. Eligible participants in the B3C Housing Safety Fund are (but are not limited to): adults aged 18+, currently experiencing houselessness, housing instability, residing in Multnomah County.   • The Maypole Fund is a small grant-giving organisation that funds feminist activism against militarism and war up to £1000. The Maypole Fund has two funding sessions each year. The submission deadlines for each of these sessions are at the end of January and June of each year. Learn more and apply here.

  • Mutual Aid Hartford has a community fund, a mutual aid practice for consistent and sustainable resource redistribution for Hartford, CT residents. The Mutual Aid Hartford Neighborhood Council will review applications and disperse funds on a monthly basis as available. Learn more and apply here.

  • Mutual Aid Hartford also has a Black Momma’s Giving Circle, a support pod for mothers and care takers with financial support available for BIPOC mothers in the Hartford, CT area seeking support. The Mutual Aid Hartford Neighborhood Council will review applications and disperse funds when available. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Sovereign Tech Fund invests in the development, improvement, and maintenance of open digital base technologies worldwide. This fund invests in open digital base technologies that are vital to the development of other software or enable digital networking. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis.   • ARTNOIR is accepting applications for their The Jar of Love Fund, a microgrant initiative intended to provide relief for artists, curators, and cultural producers of color. Microgrant amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the scale of the project. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis as funds become available.   • Soul Fire Farm launched their Climate and Equity Policy Re-Grant in an effort to move grant funding in equitable ways to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color led organizations engaging in climate policy advocacy. Grant awards will range from $500-$2,500. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis until all resources have been expended. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Mobilize Power Fund is a rapid response fund that resources gender justice organizations to adapt or pivot their work when met with unanticipated, time-sensitive opportunities or threats to their movement building work and organizing conditions. Monthly deadlines vary each month at midnight in your time zone, with the exception of July, August, November, and December for program break. Learn more and apply here.

  • Emergent Fund is a rolling, monthly rapid response and emergent organizing grant for movement and frontline communities responding to urgent and specific unanticipated crises or opportunities to build power. Applications are due every third Thursday each month. Learn more and apply here.

  • Black Trans Men Inc. is offering a grant of up to $1000 to assist with the financial obligation for undergoing elective gender affirming top surgery for Black and African American trans men. Learn more and submit a Gender Affirming Surgery Financial Assistance Application here.

  • Social Impact Labs awards $1,000 to support community projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and remain eligible for six months. Apply by the end of a given month to be considered for the following month’s award. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Black Journalists Therapy Relief Fund (BJTRF) provides assistance for Black journalists facing financial hardship who are unable to pay for mental health support. Learn more and apply for funding here.

  • The Get Up, Rise Up direct action fund supports activists globally to shift power through strategic nonviolent direct actions. This fund is open for established groups (formal or informal), and in some cases individuals, who have been working on a specific issue or cause and are seeking funding for a direct action or a direct action tool (explained below) as part of an ongoing campaign.   • Black Trans Femmes in Art Collective (BTFA)’s Artist/Resource Directory is a living document that allows BTFA to support Black trans femme artists more effectively by connecting them with folks who are looking to support their work. Learn more and sign up for the directory here.

  • Trans Visionaries Collective is a Facebook Group for trans, non-binary, intersex, agender, genderfluid, genderqueer, and gender outlaw thought-leaders, activists, and creatives to conspire, convene, provide support, request and offer mutual aid, call to action, vent, and raise our collective consciousnesses.   • Equality Labs recently published an anti-doxxing guide to protect the digital safety of the bold social justice advocates who are speaking truth to power. This guide was designed to support activists who may be targeted for resisting longstanding systems of oppression like white supremacy, Islamophobia, casteism, antisemitism, and anti-LGBTQ+ policies.

  • Van Ethan Levy shares a list of providers who who agree to provide a letter for hormones/ surgery/ gender marker change/ procedures/ name change and more for the trans/ non binary/ non conforming and many more non cis identities after ONLY 1 SESSION across the country.   • I Be Black Girl has a web-based application to search and view health providers specifically reviewed for their care of Black patients. Find a provider through their platform here.

  • Trans Health and Wellness Center provides free mental health therapy, food vouchers, rent and mortgage relief in California.

  • The Trans Talent #OpenTo Work Database is a spreadsheet exclusively for transgender people who are open to work.

  • Invisible Strengths connects intersectional disabled job seekers with accommodations in the workplace. Learn more about their work here

  • The Divas With Disabilities Project (DIVAS) is a digital movement and community committed to increasing the participation and representation of depiction of Black and brown women and girls with visible disabilities in TV, film, and all facets of multimedia. DIVAS has a library of resources with a curated list of casting calls and partnered organizations, scholarships, and programs connecting folks with film, TV, and multimedia opportunities in front of and behind the camera.

  • Rooted Respite is an organization striving for a world where all people have the time, space, and support to heal from burnout and other systemic wounds inflicted by capitalism, colonialism, and patriarchy. Learn more about their services and offerings here.

  • The Okra Project has a list of organizations and resources offering programs and services to trans, gender non-conforming, and non-binary people.

  • Gender Justice LA has a working Resource Guide (+COVID Resource Guide) with regularly updated resources for TGI people in response to COVID-19. Resources include health & wellness, food, grants, mutual aid, educational resources, safety, housing, and more.   • Black Transmen Inc. will award Free New & Gently Used binders for transmen of color in low-income communities through the Brother 2 Brother Health Grant program, designed to support a safe and healthy transition, providing binders to those who are in need, and simply cannot afford to purchase a binder on their own.   • The Nurture Forward Directory, created by You Are More Than Inc. (YAMT), includes low-cost to free therapy options for survivors based in California, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.   • Collective Action for Safe Spaces released their COVID Community Care Resources (2023) Guide, an updated COVID resource guide with tangible strategies to help decrease the spread and to enact care for those dealing with current and long COVID.

  • Accessible Social is a free resource and education hub that shares best practices for creating accessible and inclusive social media content.

  • Trans Closet Hudson Valley gives free, gender-affirming clothing, supplies, and/or accessories to any trans person in the Hudson Valley who is transitioning to a new wardrobe or who is seeking new clothes. They also share a nationwide list of trans closets and resources.
